Jennifer Jones, a Title I teacher with a focus on technology, is credited with motivating both her students and her fellow teachers around technology. Hired during the 2003/04 school year she teaches 16 classes, grades K - 5, integrating technology into all aspects of the curricula. She also team-teaches with classroom teachers and in doing so helps them to become more comfortable with using technology in their own instruction.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Jones has worked with students to develop a Schools News program. Each week, she helps 5th grade students write scripts, conduct interviews, record the show, and broadcast the news every Friday AM.
Additionally, she has been instrumental in training her fellow teachers in using technological tools. She has shared her knowledge and experience outside of Bryant Woods Elementary School through conducting workshops at professional conferences and institutes.

It is just so exciting bringing a whole other world to their life. I am very lucky.

…she immerses herself in the curriculum for each grade, kindergarten through fifth grade, to find out how technology can help teach a new concept or enhance a lesson more effectively.

I love technology - I like working with it and I like working with Ms. Jones. She helps us first understand how to use technology and then she lets us figure it out.
