Joseph Greenawalt
Westlake High School
Computer Science Teacher & Technology Coordinator
Charles County Public Schools

Joseph Greenawalt, computer science teacher and technology coordinator for Westlake High School in Charles County, has been teaching computer classes for over 25 years. At Westlake, he identified and fulfilled tech needs for the art and business departments, as well as the media and career centers. He has developed curriculum for the county covering Honors Java Programming, Design and Logic, and Advanced Placement Computer Science, as well as reviewing curriculum for purchase from outside sources. His commitment to teaching AP Computer Science shows in his willingness to teach it by whatever means available: first on the weekends, then through video conferencing, and most recently as an online course.
