Seventh grade social studies teacher Sean McCabe is integral to a number of projects that show students not only how to use technology in the acquisition and presentation of knowledge, but to use it to develop beyond the classroom. Through his grant-seeking efforts, students at Centreville Middle School in Queen Anne’s County have access to a digital lab handing audio, video, and photo needs. They also participate in an after school digital photography club. Through teaching in the after school “Tenacious Techies” program, he has helped provide computer instruction for students who will receive computers to take home through a grant program. His students are currently engaged in a project to collect GPS data points in conjunction with the United States Geologic Survey
