Pamela South is a second grade teacher and Technology Leader at Greenwood Elementary School in Somerset County. Her students have used software to publish writing, compile and present data, and create scenery projections for a school play. She designed an environmentally-focused WebQuest. She has also taken an active role in making sure that the county and her fellow teachers keep pace with technological requirements. To achieve these aims, she helped structure a Technology Certification program for county staff. To be certified, staff must complete review courses and pass an assessment. She has also been active in developing a Technology Academy to help teachers meet technology integration requirements for certification.
