The Great Baltimore Fire (Windows Media)
One of Baltimore’s worst tragedies began on a cold Sunday morning in February, 1904. A dry-goods warehouse caught fire and exploded, setting many surrounding buildings on fire. Before the fire was contained, it had destroyed over 140 acres of city land and property.
