Regulating Freedom of Speech

Freedom of speech is a fundamental American right, and regulation of that freedom has been a fundamental responsibility of the Supreme Court The goals of this lesson, from EDSITEment, are to trace the judicial review process within the Supreme Court from determination of facts through oral argument and the delivery of a written opinion, to examine the nature and limits of the Constitutional right to freedom of speech, and to explore the nature and purpose of dissent within the context of Supreme Court rulings.
