Algebra/DA for Teachers, Part I

Dates: October 23 – December 18 (Part II will run from January – May) Course begins with mandatory virtual meeting Sun., Oct. 23 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm)
Fee: $225 per semester
Credit: 6 MSDE CPD credits (3 each for 2 semesters; #07-00-04 and #07-00-05)
(Student or LSS must also obtain calculator and 4 books: Pattern and Function Connection, A Visual Approach to Algebra, Classroom Instruction that Works, and Literacy Strategies for Improving Mathematics Instruction).
Description: This online course helps algebra teachers master the content of algebra while using the online HSA Algebra course with students. Participants progress through course while teaching Algebra/DA with the online HSA Algebra/DA course in their classrooms. Course requires a minimum of 7 hours per week.
