ReadWriteThink is expanding and we need your help to spread the word to caregivers, tutors, librarians, and other adults who work with children and teens over the summer!

The site, which is produced by the International Reading Association and the National Council of Teachers of English with support from the Verizon Foundation, offers classroom lesson plans and interactive resources for reading and language arts instruction.

IRA and NCTE are proud to announce the launch of a special area Learning Beyond the Classroom designed to help students continue to build on their literacy learning outside of school. Please visit http://www.readwritethink.org/beyondtheclassroom/summer/ to find a collection of summer activities for children and teens. Included also are printable tip sheets for using some of ReadWriteThink’s many online interactive tools.

We’d love to hear your thoughts about this exciting new project. Please feel free to use the feedback form to share your opinions and experiences. Happy summer!
