OK, so I’m playing a game called “Crazy Machines.” The package says that it’s the “wacky contraptions game.” Cool. I can dig that . . .

I start playing and I don’t have the foggiest idea what to do. Well, actually the first “experiment” was pretty easy, but now I’m totally dumbfounded by the next one. This is what the screen looks like . . .

Crazy Machine Game

Notice the six “zeros” at the bottom of the screen. That’s my score so far!

So I’m supposed to position the gears and pulleys and pipes in such a way that will cause the box near the top (with the one blue arrow) to fall into the space with the three blue arrows. Mercy . . .

I try a few different solutions and nothing works. I don’t like being wrong. I try some more. Again, nothing works. I wonder what age group this game is geared toward. I look at the box, but it doesn’t say. After awhile, I go make a cup of tea and start in on some other work.
