As a special education teacher and department chairperson at Corkran Middle School in Anne Arundel County, Pamela Fowler has consistently proven to be a leader in innovation. Her search for effective ways to teach students has led her to use technology in ways that support student learning. Her students maintain their own electronic portfolios. She has set-up a mock office program for her students, most of whom do not have access to computers at home, to learn to use technology in a work setting. Her WebQuest "So You Want to Be an Archeologist?" was one of the first ones created in the county. One of two designated eCoaches at Corkran Middle, she has served as a liaison with the school system, assisted with school data analysis, and supported technology education for staff and parents.
