Here’s what I wrote.
The first photograph shows Japanese Americans waiting for a meal in what looks like a prison camp. The buildings look like they are in the middle of nowhere, and are surrounded by fences. I’m guessing the people in the photograph weren’t allowed to cook their own meals, since they had to wait in line to be fed. It sounds awful!
The second photograph shows that some Japanese Americans had to sell everything when they were sent away to these camps. Did you see the smaller sign that says “all must be sold?” I guess maybe that’s because they weren’t able to bring many things with them. I can’t imagine having to sell all my furniture because the government decided I needed to move! I would feel so sad!
