Focused Instruction – “I do it”

The first component of the GRR Framework is a period of focused instruction, known as the “I do it” phase. During this phase, the students listen as the teacher provides an introduction to and overview of the lesson. Teacher Rachel Hager, who recently used the GRR framework to teach a lesson on geometry to her fourth-grade students, explains more about the focused instruction phase of the framework.
