After 13 years, Thinkport has a new look! This design and navigational update allows us to add new digital lessons, upgrade our search function, and make the site accessible from mobile devices. While we loved the original Thinkport (and we think you did too!), our new website is better suited to meet the needs of educators, students and families living in this robustly digital age.
Let’s take a quick tour to show off some of our new features.
Thinkport’s home page offers our latest lessons and online courses, as well as quick access to PBS LearningMedia in the right sidebar. Maryland Public Television is a close collaborator with PBS education. Be sure to Follow Us and Subscribe to our weekly newsletter through the links on the sidebar.
New Navigation
We have changed our website navigation to provide quicker access to our lessons and courses. Click on the navigation tab for Learning Resources. We have expanded our resources to include Early Childhood and Out-of-School Time digital lessons and hands-on activities. Our Middle and High School sections have expanded to include a new Algebra 1 collection as well as many new literacy lessons in both grade bands.
On the Online Courses tab, you will find many options to meet your professional development needs, from early learning educators to PreK – 12 teachers.
Our Education Community navigation tab includes PBS and MPT family resources, as well as links to tips for using technology with children.
Finally, our new Search function provides filters to fine-tune your search.
Missing Something?
We did have to remove some old features to make room for these enhancements. If you cannot find what you are looking for, we suggest visiting PBS LearningMedia. In particular, we recommend exploring their free tools: http://www.pbslearningmedia.org/tools/.
