Analyzing and Evaluating Sources
Let’s review how to evaluate sources. My friend Anna is researching how migrant farm workers lived from 1929 - 1939 during America’s Great Depression. Anna found a photograph by Dorothea Lange on the Library of Congress website. She was a famous documentary photographer who worked for the Farm Security Administration.
Look closely at the details in this photograph. What do you notice first? What people or objects do you see?
